General Information on Data Processing
Scope of Processing Personal Data

We process personal data as necessary for the provision of services, quotation preparation, or the execution of orders, purchases, or projects. The processing of personal data is based on consent or legal requirements. Personal data of customers and suppliers are generally processed within Europe. Customer and supplier data, as well as inquiries from third countries outside the scope of the GDPR, are also processed by us in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR. Furthermore, we generally process personal data of users of our website only to the extent necessary for the provision of a functional website and our content and services. The processing of personal data of our users is based on consent or legal requirements.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

If we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing personal data, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR or Article 9(2)(a) of the GDPR, if special categories of data are processed pursuant to Article 9(1) of the GDPR, serves as the legal basis.

If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information on your device, the data processing is additionally based on Section 25(1) of the TTDSG (German Telemedia Act). Consent can be revoked at any time.

For the processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a contract, the implementation of pre-contractual measures, or the initiation of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If the processing of personal data is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person, Article 6(1)(d) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or a third party, and if the interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing.

Data Erasure and Storage Duration

Personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply or the data subject objects to further processing. For general data categories, we have provided the following deadlines for the deletion of personal data or their anonymization: • Employee and personnel data will be deleted no later than 10 years after leaving the company, unless deletion is contrary to legal obligations. • Personal customer data will be deleted or anonymized no later than 3 years after the last contact, provided that deletion is not contrary to legal obligations. • Prospect data and contact persons at customers will be deleted or anonymized no later than 3 years after the last contact, provided that deletion is not contrary to legal obligations. For the handling of specific data (e.g., applicant data, newsletters, etc.), please refer to the relevant sections of our privacy policy.

Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

a) You have the right to obtain from the data controller the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay, and the data controller shall have the obligation to erase personal data without undue delay if one of the following grounds applies: • The personal data concerning you are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed. • You withdraw your consent on which the processing is based, and there is no other legal ground for the processing. • You object to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) of the GDPR, and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or you object to the processing pursuant to Article 21(2) of the GDPR. • The personal data concerning you have been unlawfully processed. • The personal data concerning you have to be erased for compliance with a legal obligation in Union or Member State law to which the data controller is subject. • The personal data concerning you have been collected in relation to the offer of information society services referred to in Article 8(1) of the GDPR.

Right to Object

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you, which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR, including profiling based on those provisions. The data controller shall no longer process the personal data unless the data controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR. Automated Individual Decision-Making and Profiling

You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. This does not apply if the decision: • Is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract between you and the data controller, • Is authorized by Union or Member State law to which the data controller is subject, and that law contains suitable measures to safeguard your rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests, or • Is based on your explicit consent. However, these decisions must not be based on special categories of personal data referred to in Article 9(1) of the GDPR, unless Article 9(2)(a) or (b) of the GDPR applies, and suitable measures to safeguard your rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests have been taken. In cases referred to in points 1 and 3 above, the data controller shall implement suitable measures to safeguard your rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests, including at least the right to obtain human intervention on the part of the data controller, to express your point of view, and to contest the decision.
