Smart savings with new, modular GeBE ticket printer system

Germering, March 23rd, 2021.

GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH now presents their GeBE-COMPACT Plus ticket printer series as a completely modular system. Due to their very compact design, the established thermal printers are ideal when there is a lack of space in housings. Now, as new modular concept, they are even more flexible to integrate than before. So OEM customers gain additional independence in the division of space in cabinets and housings – not only for the printer unit but also for other system components. GeBE offers two printer basic modules for different paper widths, each module with and without a presenter unit. All other parts can be added separately, such as suitable mounting brackets, sensors and paper roll holders as well as optionally flashing, vandal-protected bezels in two colors. Customers only order what is really necessary for their special use. This is not only an economically sensible, new way of integrating thermal printers into an OEM system, but brings along another advantage: the printers remain available for a long time.

Compact, clever, comfortable
GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH offers the two compact basic modules of their modular printer system GeBE-COMPACT Plus for paper widths up to 86mm. They have a maximum size of 125 x 93 x 100mm including the presenter unit. Almost every ticket machine or every kiosk system offers at least this space. All other parts for the printer can cleverly be added. Papers up to a thickness of 190µm can be printed, including common ISO tickets. With extensive layout commands, different fonts and character sizes, receipts and tickets can be comfortably and attractively designed. They are printed at a maximum speed of 250mm/s. The blackmark control ensures an exact paper position for the cut by the robust cutter at the end of the printing. In most applications, data exchange takes place via the USB interface, but RS232 is also possible. The operating voltage of 10–26V allows both grid and solar operation. The controller is supported by the following drivers: Windows® CE.Net 4.2, 5.0, 6.0 and Windows® 2000, XP, VISTA, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Unix via Cups for Linux, Mac OS. GeBE implements adaptations in hardware and software even from small quantities
