GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik now complement their modular ticket printer series GeBE-COMPACT Plus with a printer unit with integrated 1D barcode scanner, the GeBE-COMPACT Plus SCAN. The manufacturer is thus following OEM demand for vending machine applications, especially in public transport. There, money-value tickets are tracked by scanning barcodes on the back. The scanner is integrated into the paper feed. A blackmark sensor ensures that the ticket paper is positioned with millimeter precision.
With this new GeBE printer, 70 to 115 μm thick papers are printed, cut, and output securely via the presenter. If they are not removed, the retract function pulls them back in again for safety. To meet the requirements of as many applications as possible, the paper width can be freely configured - flexibly between 63 and 86 mm. This means that standard ISO tickets can also be used in landscape format. With the right paper, the printer is suitable for a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, also for outdoor applications.
Always keeping an eye on the costs
The focus of the entire modular thermal printer series GeBE-COMPACT Plus from the manufacturer GeBE is the highest possible cost efficiency for the customers. Therefore, the new GeBE-COMPACT Plus SCAN printer unit is also always supplemented as required. Thus, the printer proves to be as robust as it is service-friendly: If the transport of the ticket paper is in focus in bumpy driving conditions, for example in a bus, the secured paper guide is indispensable. The protective front with dispensing bezel is fitted when it has to be particularly resistant to rough mechanical impact from outside. Thanks to the mounting bracket, servicing work is even easier and faster. This makes it particularly easy to remove and reattach the device.
In addition the manufacturer also offers further options for adding to the compact printer-scanner module as required and in a cost-efficient manner, for example an exit sensor or paper roll holders of various designs.
